(P.S.  Sometimes IVF does work on the first try! Keep believing!).

I never thought I’d get down with all my shots for my first IVF and then my ovaries would suddenly become inaccessible-you bastards. hahahaha…IVF-NOT always the answer to everything. Next round in a week! I am willing my ovaries to be low this time.

  2. Courtney says:

This was totally me the first time we did IVF. Someone should have send me this e-card. I was so naive back then! :)

  3. JM says:

I made this ecard back in December when my first IVF failed, a possibility I had never even allowed myself to consider.

I’m glad you found it and shared!!!

  4. says:

So true! And Courtney, I was also naive. I’m on Round #3 now. You’d think I would learn!

Is there another sarcastic one for a failed Round #2?

  5. Wow, I’ll be starting my first IVF cycle this summer and I’ve sort of been telling myself that this will be “the time it works”. I guess I’m still in the naive stage. If you don’t mind me asking, how long do you have to wait after a failed cycle before you can try cycle #2?

  6. Anonymous says:

It worked the first time for me!! I had a son and then had 2 daughters without any help. Stay positive and you never know what can happen. I had 5 eggs and 2 died and 2 wouldn’t grow. They told me they usually don’t put only one egg in and I had less than a 30% chance it would take. I worked!!!

  7. me says:

Anonymous, you suck. Don’t you realize that 99% of us here are infertile, and your bragging about your successes just makes us feel worse?

  8. Kat says:

@me, not everybody feels that way. I am not to the point of IVF yet, but Anonymous gives me a little more hope..

  9. 8 years and counting says:

I admit found the comment from anonymous to be insensitive but let’s face it, many of the women here will eventually go on to have children. There was a time when I would have found it encouraging but now not so much.

  10. Anony(mouse) says:

I found Anonymous comment to be encouraging. During my 1st IVF, we had 11 eggs, 5 fertilised and 3 died within the 1st 2 days. Had to do a 3DT however, neither of the 2 implanted embryos took. Im hoping for IVF #2 within the next few weeks, and believe I’ll have the same results… So, I’ll be thinking about Anonymous and hoping for similar results. Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies!

  11. Alexandra's mum says:

I also found Anonymous’ comment to be encouraging…it does not feel like she was bragging…just trying to give us some hope. I’m going to give more encouragement. My cousin, who is 38, just gave birth to boy/girl twins after going through IVF for the first time (their issues are PCOS and severe male factor). So it can happen. Hope is good….but it’s also smart to be realistic. I myself oscillate between being deliriously hopeful about my next cycle (first medicated cycle since having our daughter) and *knowing* that it will crash and burn….ahhhhhhh….and I’m not even medicated (i.e. hormonal) yet. Let the craziness begin. Good luck ladies!
