Wiping yourself has never been so complex! What color is it?

You always examine that toilet paper and ask yourself questions like “Is this really my period?” or “Is this just spotting?” Sometimes you’re sure that the coloring is just too pink or too brown to be your real period. Your husband might walk into the bathroom as you are wiping and inspecting – don’t bother explaining, he doesn’t really understand.

You also look for spotting prior to your period. Once, I thought I saw blood a week before my period and was very excited, until I realized that it was blood from shaving my legs.
Who can relate? Show of hands?

I'm new here, but saw no one commented, so wanted to say YES! We've only been trying a month, but it has been an absolute nightmare (multiple pregnancy tests, even though I knew it was too early; was that a faint line?? oh mi god it might be!!!; my nipples are sore, that must mean i'm pregnant; my boobs are huge!; my belly is bloated and it looks like i'm several weeks pregnant so i MUST be!; i feel pregnant; no period yet, no period yet, four days late, i'm so pregnant; to… WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!?! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!). Day I came home to tell hubby I got my period he had to share the news that one of our friends is pregnant…. GRRRRRR…. But yes, checking the wipe and thinking that it's too light to be menstrual… I don't know how you've done it for so long – it's killing me already!!

I chart my CM, so I examine the toilet paper daily. Also, when I first start spotting, I wipe several times to make sure it is spotting and not (like you said) blood from shaving.

I think I’ve done this so often, I can relate!! I get the little cramping just before AF and I tell myself it’s just the cramping associated with pregnancy… Then I go into the loo and voila, the stain! I ALWAYS tell myself that it’s just spotting!!! But nowadays, I’m learning to accept it and it doesn’t hurt so much…
