Reason #955 was written by fellow infertile, “Mandie from the Sticky Chickies”

We can only really guess why Mandie is so sticky….

Once a room where you merely did your business and left (or stayed awhile and read the newspaper), the bathroom has now become a private place full of both hope and sorrow.

You sit on the toilet as much as you sit on the couch or sleep in your bed. You have sequestered a special drawer containing all of your TTC materials, wishing it had a lock to keep your craziness concealed. Your special drawer contains Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor test strips and a selection of Dixie cups to pee in almost every day. You are at the point now where you need to either buy a bigger bathroom trash can or get one with a lid to conceal all the evidence. The budget for toilet paper has almost doubled because of all of your inspections.

Next to the ovulation pee sticks is the holy grail: the pregnancy test. At first, you might not keep any tests in the house unless you are late for your period… (you don’t want to get your hopes up). But you give in and begin purchasing these tests in bulk. You now have over 30 pregnancy tests since you began testing at 6 . Lastly, next to all of these fun items are your tampons and pads. You know good ole reliable Aunt Flow will be showing up soon anyways.

Good ole reliable AF.

LOL Mandie, that's good. I have to admit I hide my pregnancy tests in the same basket as my pads/tampons, in hopes that DH will just think they are more feminine supplies if he happens to look.

Love from your fellow sticky chicky!

LMAO! That is so me. The last time I sent my hubby to Costco he said "Do we need anything?" And I said "Yeah, we need bathroom Dixie cups." And he gave me this disgusted look and shook his head saying "What, so you can pee in them?"

And forget 30, I have more. Not saying how many ;-).

    Thanks, Cherish! :-)

Eileen – your DH sounds just like mine! I don't even know how many OPKs/HPTs I have in that drawer.. I buy in bulk! :-)

    Thanks, Naomi!

ha ha..i wonder where you get all of these!? except dixie cups can get expensive…what i do is take a urine sample cup from my doctors office and rinse and reuse it…its not like i am not dealing with the pee anyways…and the special drawer..i dont even keep that other stuff by the tampons cause i am convinced it is bad luck!

I thought I was the only one using Dixie cups!
    Also – I have about 56 Ovulation tests in my TTC bathroom, and 30 HPTs (10 x 10miu and 20 x 25miu)!
    And the Robitussin… Pre-seed….. etc.
