Lizzie McGuire is having like a totally hot summer. Actress Hilary Duff recently announced her pregnancy on her website by saying: “This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our one-year anniversary….We also want to share the exciting news that baby makes three.”
Your first thoughts after hearing Hilary Duff is pregnant:

hahahha! ‘C’- that is what I think EVERY time I hear a pregnancy announcement or see a pregnant lady. “of course. of course she is. Everybody’s going to have a baby before me.” ugh!!! but that made me laugh:)
Of course she´s pregnant…isn´t everyone? My friends’ kids will be in college by the time I succesfully conceive.

LMAO! I had just seen this last week and was telling a fellow infertile friend. This cracked me up!! My first thought was also, “she’s like, a baby! She’s Lizzie McGuire!!”
Wasn’t it just too flipping stinking cute how she announced? Oh how it must be nice to be that perfect. (At least she was smart enough to wait a little bit to announce.)

@Catharine: My bold prediction is that their marriage will last 18 months tops. But still, KK’s bfp will come in 6 months!
DH and I have a running joke about how Hilary keeps stealing our ideas:
She got married the same day we did (Aug.14, 2010), same colour scheme (charcoal and pink), and same flowers (pink peonies).
So when she announced her BFP on the same day as our BFN; beyotch, stop stealing our thunder! (Just kidding, she seems really nice!)
Yes, Hillary is a year younger than me, has been married 4 years less than me, and I’m sure she had been off bc for a whole month when she got her bfp! She was probably at the gym or getting a manicure and realized her period was late, ran to the drug store, bought a test, and surprise!! (This is what I imagine taking a pregnancy test is like for perfectly fertile women)

P.S. I’ve accepted that EVERYONE will be pregnant before me! Just waiting for my 75 year old grandma or 7 year old niece to announce their pregnancies via Facebook!!!

Yeah, seriously. Can we all go to some sort of “Infertile Island,” completely cut off from the rest of the fertile world, until our situations resolve? I can see it now – lots of infertile couples and enough REs and embryologists to go around. Sounds like the makings of an interesting reality TV show!

@ Meh, have you been on this site at all besides this post? It’s a place to have fun and laugh. Did you not get the sarcasm at ALL? Naomi (and the rest of us) know that she’s not REALLY 15 anymore, but I think most of us remember seeing her on Lizzie McGuire (My little sister, 6 years younger than me used to watch the show) and that is the first thing we thought of when we think of Hilary Duff being pregnant.
And furthermore, we are allowed to be jealous of people’s fertility. We don’t hate them, we just hate our infertility. Here we can freely express these feelings, since we can’t do it in our daily lives.

This is a place for us to grieve our crappy fertility status. A part of *healthy* grieving and coping is to be able to laugh at what is making life so difficult. Which means voicing the things that we can’t voice “in real life” because it wouldn’t be nice or proper. Everyone needs an outlet-this is our outlet. Embrace it!

But seriously, I would never wish childlessness on anyone, but I am so glad they didnt have children. getting married and divorced for ratings is.one thing, but bringing a baby into the mix isnt fair.
